It’s your call.
One of the most important calls you’ll receive this year may come from a WSU student on behalf of the WSU Annual Fund.
After a busy day of classes and campus activities, student callers come to the Shaughnessy Administration Building to reach out to loyal alumni, parents, faculty, staff, and friends. They are eager to talk about the many ways your generosity supports quality education at WSU.
In 2011-2012, 1,251 phonathon contributors gave more than $61,000 to support student scholarships, computer and laboratory equipment, program development, student research projects, student internships, and so much more. This year, our goal is for 1,350 contributors to participate.
Today, your support is more important than ever. State appropriations account for only 26 percent of WSU’s revenues. But the cost of providing an excellent education continues to climb. Students require access to the latest tools, technology, and programs to be competitive in an increasingly challenging global environment.
At WSU, we are committed to preparing students for personal and professional success in a changing world. To fulfill that commitment, we rely on support from generous donors like you who share our commitment to quality public higher education.
