The deadline for nominations for the 2012 Distinguished Alumni Awards, the highest non-degree recognition bestowed by the University on an alumnus or alumna, closed on February 1, 2012.
The Worcester State University Mission Statement is the foundation for the awards, which are presented in five distinct categories: Outstanding Volunteer Service to the Community, Outstanding Achievement in the Field of Education, Distinguished Professional Achievement, Outstanding Service to Alma Mater, and Outstanding Young Alumnus/Alumna Award. Current Worcester State University trustees and Alumni Association’s Advisory Board directors are not eligible while in service on the boards.
