Business Students Enjoy Dinner with President and Alumni
On April 12, 2012, approximately 20 business students in the Honors Program enjoyed dinner and conversations with President Barry Maloney and Worcester State alumni who graduated from the business program.
This event paired students and alumni with common interests for a unique opportunity to learn from one another. Students enjoyed meeting successful alumni who shared advice, reminisced about classes, and compared Worcester State experiences.
After the event, Keith Blanchette '98, CPA, CVA, CFF, a member of the WSU Foundation Board, shared, "I fully enjoyed interacting with the WSU students outside of the
traditional classroom setting. The honors program is a program that the
University should be very proud of. It reenforces my belief the the WSU
students can match up with students for any college or university."
Vice President of the Alumni Association's Advisory Board Kristina Jackson states, "I feel that the dinner was a great opportunity to spend time with our
exceptional students. It really hit home how our students strive to be
their best. What a great night for the President and alumni to
acknowledge and celebrate their efforts and success."
Special thanks to President and Mrs. Maloney for welcoming us into their home and to the alumni volunteers who so graciously shared their experiences: Foundation Board President Gregg Rosen '86, Foundation Board member Keith Blanchette '98, CPA, CVA, CFF, Alumni Association's Advisory Board Vice President Kristina Jackson '93, and Alumni Association's Advisory Board members Hugh Donohue '70 and Amy Peterson '03.
